Health Care Professional Introduction

Hello Everyone and thank you for taking the time to read my post! I am the owner of Geriatric Medicine Consulting. I am a Board Certified Geriatric Nurse Practitioner and wanted to share this with you. This service can be very beneficial to millions of elderly patients. It can also be very helpful to primary care providers whether you are a physician, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner. I get it, you don't have the time in clinic with every patient to do detailed medication reviews. That's where I can help. I will do the work and your patients can share the medication review and recommendations with you! How many times have your patients asked, "Why am I on so many medications?", or "Are all these medications together safe?".

This is a service being provided online, so that it can reach and help more patients. This service targets polypharmacy, medication side effects and high risk medications in the elderly population. This is ideal for patients 65 y/o+, who have compiled a lengthy medication profile over the years. A detailed medication review will be done, taking into consideration their medical history and concerns or symptoms described on the patient's medical intake form. Recommendations will be sent back to the patient to review during the next primary care provider appointment. Unfortunately, our healthcare system generally doesn't allow PCP's the time it takes to do this during a busy clinic schedule with a 10-15 minute visit. Depending on the medication profile and medical intake, this takes between 45-60 minutes. Geriatric Medicine Consulting can be found at www.GeriatricMedicineConsulting.com.
